CHEROKEE VILLAGE,
in
Northern Arkansas is 13,000 acres of rolling hills, green
trees, sparkling rivers and lakes. The natural beauty of
the region is complimented by the four seasons that gently
change and the mild climate makes it possible to enjoy the
outdoors all year long.
There are two spectacular 18 hole golf courses in Cherokee
Village. The Village's seven lakes vary in size from 19 to
264 acres. There is a full service marina at Lake
Thunderbird and a smaller marina on Lake Omaha. All lakes
have been stocked and abound with catfish, black and large
mouth bass and other species native to the area.
Two of the state's free flowing rivers offer some of the
best canoeing, floating and fishing to be found anywhere.
The Spring River, which begins 14 miles away at Mammoth
Spring State Park, is formed by one of the largest springs
in the world. It flows adjacent to Cherokee Village and is
considered by many to be one of the best canoeing rivers in
the state. |
